UPCOMING HARLEY-DAVIDSON ELECTRIC SCOOTER DETAILS REVEALED
Harley-Davidson motorcycles have always been icons of two classic wheels. However, during the last 2 years, it changed the development vector. Now, Good Old Harley begins to establish trends in the market for e-bikes and motorcycle electronics. On the next article website, Sumotobro.com, in collaboration with our team reviewed the updated line of LED Fouslight for Harley and the new LifeWire series. But the company did not seem to stop and revealed details of the long-awaited electric scooter.
THE CONCEPT
Harley-Davidson announced for the first time the future line of electric motorcycles and electric scooters in X-Games Aspen 2019. The concept of an electric dirt was tested by the multi-user winner of X-Game and Harley Fan, Jacko Strong. He stressed that the new motorcycle has excellence over traditional directions due to dramatically reduced reduction, momentary acceleration and the absence of transmission.
The second two-wheel wheel was introduced and proven for the first time by Host X Games, Jack Mitrani. The prototype was quite difficult, so we could not understand what the final design would be like. Fortunately, on February 12, our team caught a leak on the Harley-Davidson investor website, where the image of the scooter near production was found. Let’s look at the updates.
Unlike the version of the vehicle we saw in X-Games, the new includes an elegant battery and a unibododium cabinet on the engine, while the rest of the body remains the same. Presumably, the black element at the top is the removable battery. This assumption came from the photos and videos of the concept of Dirtbike where you can clearly see that the battery packs are designed to be easily removable and suitable for transporting a hand. It means that we can take them to our apartments and offices to charge us through sales points or special rapid loading springs.
The full charge time is still unknown, but we can expect it to be within 1 hour in a standard mode and around 30 minutes through a springs station. The LifeWire series that is already available on the Official Harley-Davidson website can charge 80% in 40 minutes and 100% in about 70 minutes. However, the first full charge can take up to 8 hours because the full lifestyle load of LifeWire 1 takes 10-11 hours.
The maximum speed and range are still unknown, but will be lower than the 140-mile range of LifeWire. The reason for that is that Harley-Davidson intends to make the scooter be available for travelers who do not have a driver’s license. This seems unlikely to become a reality, but it could be very convenient.
When to wait?
According to the Harley-Davidson key initiative for 2019-2021, the low power scooter will be available between 2021 and 2022, along with a power cable model of Power Mid-Power. Until then, you can buy the high power LifeWire motorcycle, or look for a two-wheeled vehicle for your children, the Irone. This year we can also see the release of H-D ebicicites. The fanatics of the H-D classics make fun of the company, but we have high expectations based on the resonant success of the LifeWire series.
