2017 FERRARI 488 GTB – BOMBSHELL

Ferrari introduced 458 Italy in 2009 instead of the F430 model. Instead of F430 a bit outdated at all, but the Italian did not risk with the most important model. So, F430 is very pretty but Italian … It’s amazing, handsome … after usually six years on the market it’s time for it to retire and in 2015 488 GTB see the light that day. And what should be taken by GTB when replacing one of the biggest beauties that has been launched from Maranello?

However, it is a modifier game, it might not be visible, but in many other things. So, let’s see what is brought to the market and what 2017 Ferrari GTB must be proud of after two years since the introduction of the original model.

2017 Ferrari 488 GTB visible

As said, it’s not about the appearance here. After six years of fresh 458 as born yesterday, so GTB couldn’t do something drastic. That’s why it seems more redesigned Italian. The predecessor is about beauty and elegance, the new man added his sharpness. Hood welcomed several intimidating bulge, hip accepting several imposing blades, behind becoming more threatening, while each line was treated with a more angled approach.

The cabin is only a little modified with various forms of air ventilation, reconfiguring the minor button and the only thing that looks different is a lower leaner console. Overall GTB is more about other changes and quite radical.

BOMB?

That was what GTB did in 2015. It was dismissed carefully aspiring from Italy and made many real hearts miss the rhythm when introducing turbocharging for the first time in Ferrari since the F40 and the early 90’s. The new bomb, under the tent, is 3.9 liters of turbocharged V-8, rated at 660 horsepower and 560 pounds of torque, connected to the same dual-clutch 7-speed automatic gearbox.

DISASTER?

Actually no. New machines produce 63 hp and 162 lb-ft more than one in 458 and maximum torque available halfway from before. It soared 488 to 60 mph in 2.9 seconds which was a tenth of a second faster. Turbo lag? The biggest fear, but it doesn’t bleed here. Very well hidden so you won’t regret the introduction of forced air. The car reacts to push the pedal immediately, and by Ferrari, you have to wait only 0.8 seconds when you decide to accelerate from only 1000 rpm in the third tooth, which is not too astonishing.

Manja noise? No again. Although turbocharged, the new unit produces songs that are even harder and even more aggressive as rev needle slid to the right. The only sad thing is that the top revs have shrunk from 9000 to 8000 rpm, but at least you can take advantage of more power when you are there.

There are more improvements other than turbocharger and more power, and one of them is the rear diffuser with an active flap that can change its nature depending on the situation. The second in the improvement lineup will be increased by the side slip control system that works with electronic dealers and active reducer. As a result, GTB hurried faster out of the corner.

Just not to leave Fancy Part, 2017 Ferrari 488 GTB has Apple Carplay, racing telemetry system, keyless contact lock that does not require a key reversal that basically destroys all the purpose of the previous key and there is an optional top. Audio system with 12 speakers and 1,280 watt power.

2017 Ferrari 488 GTB Conclusion

2017 Ferrari 488 GTB is clearly a game changer for the Italian supercar company. It changes the most important thing, and in a radical way, but before that, it does the right work leaving us only with profit and no one lamenting. This is equally perfect like a new Ferrari and is always better than the previous one, while the price of $ 242,000 may be $ 4k more than one from Italy we can agree that it is worth every penny.
