Muscle Car is a US term used to refer to a variety of high performance cars. The Merriam-Webster dictionary defines muscle cars as “any of a group of 2-door sports coupe made in US with powerful engines designed for high performance driving.”
Muscle cars are, they were and they will always be part of the American pop culture. As such, they have been, through years, they are presented in many Hollywood movies. The main reason for this was that these cars could easily be complemented with the character of the protagonist film. Being the main man of the film was always easier if you drive a muscle car. Now, enough with this, we go to the list of best muscle cars in Hollywood’s story.

Number One: Danger Dukes, 1969 Dodge Charger – Muscle Cars
As you can see in the image, the charger in question is General Lee. This car made numerous tricks during the film. The official data affirm that there were 320 chargers used during the filming and somewhere around 17 they did home alive. One of the most interesting facts is that for the car to make the jumps in the film, it had to be overweight with 450 kg sandbags that were put on the trunks.
Number Two – 1967 Ford Mustang Fastback Eleanor – It’s gone in 60 seconds
Eleanor Edition of Mustang used in gone in 60 seconds, is Shelby Mustang GT500. Automobile experts and serious enthusiasts know better than the car used in the film was actually 1967 Ford Mustang Fastback by Steve Stanford to look like GT500.
Number three – 1971 Mustang Sportstroof Eleanor – 1974 is gone in 60 seconds
This car was redesigned 1971 Mustang Sportstroof, made to look like 1973 model. To this day, it is the only car who was credited by the star to participate in the film. It is estimated that around 250 hours were spent to modify this car.
FOUR Number – 1972 Ford Mustang Mach 1 – Test of Death
The model used in this film was large Mustang, which is longer than the model made for that year. The interesting fact about its color is that it was painted to match the Uma Thurman tracksuit.
Number of Five – 1970 Dodge Challenger R / T 440 Magnum – Fugue Point
The number of challengers used in this film is five. All of them were in alpine white, prepared by Max Balchowsky, yes, it is the same guy who made chargers and Mustangs for a movie called Bullitt. The main reason why he used Challenger was his quality of torque and power air suspension, of course. We could see many models of Chrysler in this movie, and it was a way of saying “Thank you” to Chrysler who gave him a lot to the rental cars to Fox of the twentieth century.
Number Six – 1968 FORD MUSTANG FASTBACK – BULULITT
This film can be considered as the most famous Mustang movie of all time. It has a lot of action, and presents Mustang rival, the charger. What else can you want? The main reason for the popularity of this Mustang was Steve McQueen, who designed it and inspired Ford to make special editions of Mustang GT that bears the name of the film.
Number 7 – 1970 Dodge Charger R / T – Fast and Furious
Vin Diesel – Dominic Toretto – Dodge Charger. Anything else? Yes! 900hp!.. This charger was modified through the series of films and, finally, this number has increased. The edition used in the sixth delivery was the daytone charger.
Number Eight – 1969 Dodge Charger R / T – Angry Driving
The main actor in this film is Dodge Charger, without waiting, is Nicolas Cage, is not a charger. Well, it’s the cage that drives the charger. They are main actors of the stand. Together as one. I hope this makes sense. The number of chargers used in this film is three, and all were rebuilt, restored and lasted until today.
Number Nine – 1971 Chevrolet Chevelle – Faster
The actor who drove the Chevelle in this film was Dwayne The Rock Johnson. The car used was 1971 Chevelle, with 1970 front model of the year, and it was not really an SS, but who cares.
Number 10 – 1972 Ford Gran Torino – Gran Torino
The car taken here was named after the movie! How great is that? Clint Eastwood was driving one and then it is driving one now. What great is that? The man developed a true love for this car. A series of manufactured in Gran Torino rose to 496,645. What makes it unique, in addition to appearing in the Eastwood movie, is Magnum 500 wheels that are a striking detail.
