ASTON MARTIN DB11 – NEW ICON OF ASTON MARTIN

ASTON MARTIN DB11 – NEW ICON OF ASTON MARTIN

Aston has long been reportedly designing a model that will help companies return to the competition. Over the years, engineers are developing DB11, which is a new all-round vehicle for manufacturers since DB9, the previous generation, was released in more than ten years ago. Given that this model is seen as the most significant Aston Martin from this decade, we can’t wait to hear what is offered to its customers. Finally, the blanket was removed from DB11 this March in Geneva 2016 Auto Show by the Chief Executive of the Andy Palmer company.

High hope

Immediately, a quick display on DB11 revealed that the model was as ‘Aston Martin’ obtained. First and foremost, he boasts a classic brand-style grille, little changes to remain consistent with other body design elements. Second, this vehicle displays a low front end which somehow shows its performance (about it later). According to Andy Palmer, DB11 is “not only the most important car launched by Aston Martin in recent history but also in the presence of 103 years.” Still, we have to wait until it sold this fall, but DB11 certainly looks like one of James Bond’s film. Let’s see if it works pretty well to meet this high expectation.

Aston Martin DB11 Performance

DB11’s heart is a completely new powertrain, very strong and efficient: a 5.2-liter V12 engine enhanced with two high-quality Mitsubishi heavy industries. It was quite a boost that would be appreciated by a speed fan, because this wild animal was able to produce around 600 horsepower and 516 lb-ft of torque. Aston has installed an 8-speed automatic transmission that is installed on the back where the power is sent through a carbon fiber driveshaft.

This combination is strong enough: This helps this supercar reach 62 mph of traffic jams in just 3.9 seconds. If it’s not impressive for you, what about a highest speed of 200 miles per hour? The company’s designer claims that powertrains have been developed to provide a free response lag with one turbocharger and intercooler per bank too.

THE OUTSIDE PART

DB11 dimensions are almost identical to the previous model; However, it was designed for only 1.2 inches, 2.7 inches wider, and 0.3 inches higher. It was decided to increase wheelbase for 2.5 inches too. Similar dimensions provide the same weight characteristics, and the new model is around 30 pounds lighter than DB9.

DB11 gets a new LED headlights that make it more modern than before. It is also equipped with a new floating roof that displays a sleek line and two tone appearances. The tail is now equipped with a set of LED lights, which is made to expand to the Central Panel, which moves the place to the plate a little down.

DB11’s body looks beautiful aerodynamic which of course favors Performance: First, designers add elements like gills right behind the wheel to reduce the elevator. After that, more ingenuity is introduced to Aston Martin Aeroblade, which is a patented system that eliminates the need for rear spoilers to a certain extent by utilizing air flow to increase overall stability. One of the main competitors of Aston Martin, Ferrari, had introduced a similar system a few years ago, which encouraged the company to further develop its own solution to reduce the elevator.

Among the new technologies that provided this aerodynamic feature is a bound aluminum structure. Although the shell design is very similar to the previous one

Interior

The new DB11 interior space is fully redesigned when compared to its predecessor. From the first view, it becomes clear that the dash covers few buttons and get a new 12-inch TFT center display and the digital driver’s instrument panel. There is a lot of rumors that Aston Martin will use most of the electronics made by Mercedes but we have to wait and see if it’s true.

Comfort for passengers is provided by new leather chairs that cover a variety of electronic equipment. The front seat brought a 0.4-inch head room, and the rear bench added 2.1 inches of a 3.4-inch leg room and space. Save the back seat for kids and luggage: they are designed to accommodate children successfully. DB11 Interior Designer Head Leighanne Earley said that he wanted to make a chair in the style of furniture, and he got what he wanted: the chair was finished with pores.

Safety & Tech.

Naturally, DB11 has a load of safety features and technology that ensures the highest level of security for drivers and passengers. They include car park assistants, brake-based torque vector systems, 360 degree eye view camera systems, pedestrian detection systems, hot memory front seats and lots of airbags. Furthermore, we have pathway change lines, audio bang & olufsen systems, adaptive dampers, electronic power steering, launch controls, new infotainment systems, shipping controls, and many others. This company offers customers to personalize vehicles from top to bottom too.

PRICE

In the country of origin, England, the new DB11 will be sold from £ 155,000. In the United States, the initial price for the model will be $ 211,995, which almost increased 12 percent compared to its predecessor DB9.

Concluding thinking

Aston Martin Flagship is undoubtedly one of the best luxury options that will intensify competition for Mercedes Benz and other companies in the segment. After reviewing his abilities, enough to say that DB11 will be the most important model in the existence of 103 years of the company. Indeed, it is a big step for Aston Martin, regarding technology, style, machinery, and comfort. The level of customization and sophistication of DB11 is a world far from what Aston Martin manufactures are only a few years ago. At this point, we only need to wait and see if it will be loved by the customer.
