The 2nd generation of Chrysler 300 has existed since 2011. However, the car is actually based on the same platform as its predecessor, so it can not really compete with today’s full sedans. To aggravate things, Chrysler decided to destroy the SRT program for the 300, so that the car of 6.4 V8 has no longer available in the United States since 2015. Fortunately, even if it seems that things could change in the near future. Not so long, a car has been spied, which seems to be the rumor 2018 Chrysler 300 Hellcat. The car is definitely a 300 but all the rest seems upgraded to deal with a more powerful engine.

The car was spied on the open road and seemed to be a prototype of development. The car was not camouflaged which is unusual. However, Chrysler probably decided a black 300 with different wheels would attract less attention than a camouflaged vehicle. The first thing that jumped on this vehicle was the racing speed. In fact, the car had the same wheels and tires as those found on the Challenger demon which is very unusual. These wheels were wrapped in a 315 mm section, drag radials on the front and back.

More unusual is the fact that the wheels had chrysler center caps, which definitely suggests a development mule for a chrysler and not for another car. If we look closer to this car, it becomes clear that it is not a regular 300. In fact, the car has the same Brembo 4-piston brackets at the front as an older SRT model. These have probably been used to erase smaller wheels than the usual wheels needed on a car for the drag race. At this point, there is still no word over a possible price or release date, but we have few reflections below. However, it looks like the Chrysler 300 Hellcat 2018 could certainly go in production, especially now when the car is a few years old school dropped.

The regular version of Chrysler 300 and its SRT version was interrupted in the United States in 2015. At the same time, the vehicle continued to be available in Australia, the Middle East and some parts of Europe. So, unfortunately for American customers, if 300 Hellcat never become available, this would occur first in the country. Nevertheless, if Chrysler Company decides to launch this model, it would probably happen in the middle of 2018, or later that year. But, as we have already mentioned, this is not confirmed or refused by Chrysler when it is available.

As for the price, it is also too early to speculate, but the SRT version of Chrysler 300 is currently sold for $ 50,000 Australian. Transfer to US dollars, it is $ 38,000. The new version, the 2018 Chrysler 300 Hellcat would probably come at a higher price, closer to $ 42,000 for the entrance level template.

Design – inside and outdoors

The prototype of development seemed mostly the same as the usual production 5.7 Chrysler 300. If the car will never get into production, expect to boast good taste highlights. Considering that it has section 315mm tires, the Hellcat 300 is more than probably leaving flared wheel arcades to identify these massively wide tires. In addition to this, the car will probably understand a subtle rear wing and possibly a new front bumper. This should offer greater consumption than before to give more air the engine and a slightly better cooling.

Even with all these changes, it should still be quite restricted compared to the loader which is the one that stands out a little more than the 300. The interior of the Chrysler 300 Hellcat 2018 could also receive some upgrades. Here, you can expect a new group of instruments, probably a new steering wheel as well as the same seats found in the other two Hellcat cars.

Under the hood – 2018 Chrysler 300 Hellcat, SRT?

There is no question that the Hellcat 2018 Chrysler 300 development prototype had the same engine as the Hellcat Challenger. However, it seems that some people disagree. It seems that this model is intended for a version of the last year of the 300, so it can be something special and even possibly built in limited numbers. If this is the case, we would not be surprised if it boasts the same engine as the demon. Regardless of the case, the 300 will probably get the same powertrain of 8.2 liters of supercharged iron.

This is currently known for doing 707 horses and 650 lb-pi couple in hellcat cars, impressive powerful. The engine will be indulged in an 8-speed automatic that will drive the rear wheels via a limited sliding difference. The car can also get a higher engine, possibly with nearly 800 horses, especially given its much larger tires than on ordinary hellcat. In fact, given the upgrades, it seems that the 300 can become the fastest hellcat of the three mainly thanks to its high performance tires and a possible power bump.
