2015 KIA OPTIMA REVIEW, HYBRID, MPG

KIA Optima 2015 is set to become a minor facelift from the current model which means there will be no big change. The new machine option will be added with a little power, some interior decoration will go while there will be a new model with its own available specifications. The car crashed into a showroom somewhere at the end of 2014 and it came with a base price of more than 21,000 $, making it more affordable than its main competitors, VW Passat and Honda Accord.

2015 Kia Optima Exterior

Redesign of the new Kia family sedan changes a bolder front-end with a sharper appearance. It also became a modified tail and several new trims. You will now get a daytime running LED light on all models including one base, a larger standard wheel, at 17 inches made of alloys and new front grilles that are a little smoother now. Some new colors are now available such as Graphite platinum, sparkling silver and Smokey Blue Metallic.

Interior 2015 Kia Optima

Like the previous generation, KIA Optima 2015 will get all the commodities you want as standard. You will get automatic climate control, rear view camera, a decent audio system that unfortunately only has 4 speakers, heated windshields and good fabric coatings. Options include interior skin, electric front seats that can also be heated and satellite navigation systems with a 7-inch screen.

Optima engine 2015.

As we know from the previous generation, this car will display a 4.4-liter engine inline 4 which will be able to provide around 200 horsepower and 185 lb-ft of torque, making it very strong for most opportunities. There is also a 2 liter turbocharged engine that will offer 275 horsepower drivers and 270 lb-ft of torque and it will also use less fuel than the base model but will be around 5000 $ more expensive. Finally, there will be a hybrid version available which will most likely get a 2.4-liter Atkinson cycle machine and an electric motor for a total strength of around 180 horsepower and 250 lb-ft torque. Unfortunately, there is no detail about this model fuel consumption.

Transmission of kia optima 2015

The only transmission available for gasoline engines will be 6 automatic speeds. This is a pretty good unit because it is smooth and comfortable to use but sometimes it’s quite slow and doesn’t respond to the input very well. All the power of the car will go to the front wheels through electronically controlled differential which helps keep all the torque in the examination.

Kia Optima Hybrid 2015 may get a CVT transmission to overcome the increase in electric motor torque, but this still has to be decided.
